Break Dance

Break Dance

Although it had its roots in Africa, street style break dancing emerged from America’s urban centers.  Here is a 7yr old break dancing in the USA.

Another word for breakdancing is b-boy. The dance style originated in both the African American and Latino communities.

Power moves and freezes really make this an awesome dance style. It takes alot of strength to hold a pose and do a freeze. Some really young kids can already b-boy with the best of them.

Breaking takes practice but can be learned by most anyone who wants to try it. It helps to build muscle strength and get down with basic hip hop dance at the same time.
