Korean Folk Dance

Korean is a peninsula located in East Asia. Despite being next to China, Korea has its own very unique and distinct culture and traditions. It is now broken up into 2 countries: North and South Korea. The peninsula was divided in 1945. North Korean literature and arts are now state controlled.

South Korea, however, has a flourishing economy and culture. Traditional Korean cuture, as well as modern forms of culture, are encouraged and supported by the government.

Watch famous Korean-Chinese singer Bian Ying Hua (卞瑛花) in a traditional Korean folk dance. The music and costumes are traditional Korean as well.
