Yin Shuo was the dancer who performed the long ribbon dance in the Beijing Olympics Opening Ceremony after the primary dancer, Liu Yan, was injured a month before the opening. She has incredible lines and leaps and is an incredible dancer and athlete. This is her performing.
China is the most populous country in the world and has a very interesting and ancient history.
There are many different cultures and folk dances in China from the various regions. Many traditional styles of dance are now being mixed with modern and western styles of dance.
China is also well known for its acrobats and gymnasts. The acrobatic influence can be seen in much of modern Chinese dance.
