There are many different types of martial arts, stemming from many parts of Asia.  Some forms of Japanese and Okinawan martial arts include Judo, Ju-jutsu and Aikido.  Some Korean styles of martial arts include Tae Kwon Do, Tang Soo Do and Hapkido.   Martial arts from China include Shaolin, Wushu, Wing chun and Hung Gar.

Kickboxing styles come from Thailand, the Philippines, and other areas.  Bruce Lee made Jeet Kune Do famous in his fighting movies.

Other martial arts stiles include Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, which combines traditional Japanese Ju-jutso with grappling and other mixed martial arts techniques.  The Israeli military developed Krav Maga as a form of fighting.
